So if you're at all a techie, you'll know what a Pebble is. But for those who don't know, the Pebble Smartwatch is one of the new capabilities associated with 'wearable tech'.
The Pebble is one of the first Smartwatches that is worth our time - or at least mine. I've found it very useful in receiving notifications being received on my Smartphone - email alerts, calendar reminders, phone calls (with callerID) coming in, etc.
The latest update to Pebble is coming soon for Android (released about a week ago for iOS). The latest firmware update for the watch and app update for the phone will introduce the concept of a Pebble App Store - one place to go to for all of your Pebble apps, watch faces, etc.
Once the updates come (hopefully soon), I'll be giving it a spin and reporting on it here. Till then....

To SmartWatch or not to SmartWatch.....
That is the question, isn't it?
I've had a Pebble SmartWatch for about 6 months, and have found it to be a great tool to supplement my Samsung SmartPhone. The Pebble notifies me of emails (from both Gmail and Outlook), phone calls coming in (including caller ID), sports scores, and other notifications that hit my phone.
Call me a geek, but the Pebble is a handy tool to have. I'm awaiting the Pebble App Store and the new Pebble app upgrades to see what's in store.

Android Device Manager - a Good App to Have!
We've all done it at some point - misplaced our smartphone and gone into panic mode. Well, the Android Device Manager app can relieve a bit of that stress. After loading the app from the Google Play Store, you can locate your device by going to to https://google.com/android/devicemanager , entering your credentials, and then Google will locate your device! You have the option of setting off the ringer if you wish, as well as an option to completely wipe the device if you wish.
Give it a try....
